IT Support Technician

IT Support Technicians provide first-line technical support to staff, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues to ensure smooth IT operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install and configure computer systems and applications.
  • Maintain IT equipment and ensure proper documentation.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams.

 

Key Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS).
  • Familiarity with basic networking and computer hardware.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.

 

Recommended Certifications

  • CompTIA A+ Certification.
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation.
